As an update from a previous article, an official trailer for IFC’s dark thriller Sweet Virginia has finally been released! Completely unexpected, the trailer dropped and everyone who has been excited about Jon Bernthal playing Sam Rossi have been rejoicing. The drama starring Bernthal and Christopher Abbott premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year and those who saw it, praised it.
In typical Frank Castle style, The Punisher twitter page doesn’t make anything easy for its fans. Having been elusive prior to The Defenders premiere, the twitter page dedicated to Frank Castle’s show has slowly been creeping out from under a rock. While fans anxiously wait for a premiere date to the highly anticipated show, we were given a small gift…we just had to decode it.
Just the other day, The Punisher’s twitter page posted a numerous amount of tweets that seemed to confuse many – including me. Finally, someone figured out that these odds symbols were, in fact, Morse code. Grea! Who knows Morse code? Luckily, these messages were decoded and what we were given, were the titles of all thirteen episodes for The Punisher season one.
- 3 am
- Two Dead Men
- The Judas Goat
- Cold Steel
- Front Toward Enemy
- Virtue of the Vicious
- Danger Close
- Memento Mori
It’s something small, but it’s at least something! Having the episode titles gives us a slight tidbit of what direction The Punisher series/season is going to go in. Officials told us that the Frank Castle centric show would have more of a military feel than the other Netflix Marvel shows. That and the small teaser trailer released this week, we can surmise there’s also going to be a bit of espionage. Which, makes sense, since, towards the end of Daredevil season 2, we found that the slaying of Frank Castle’s family was no random accident. Hopefully, these are questions that will be answered soon.
2016 gave us one of Ben Affleck’s best performance in a movie. No, I’m not talking about Batman vs Superman. Starring as Christian Wolff, Affleck was nothing short of superb in 2016’s The Accountant. The action movie revolves around a literal accountant, who keeps less than reputable people as clients and also happens to have a high-functioning form of autism.
We already know Ben Affleck will return for the sequel to the action-packed film. The real question is, will Jon Bernthal? If you haven’t seen The Accountant, there are spoilers up ahead. If you’ve read a few of my articles, you know I’m a big Bernthal fan. And he’s really the reason why I saw this great movie; which I’m glad about, as it’s probably one of the best movies of 2016 and gets so little recognition.
Logan and Narcos star, model turned smoldering hot actor Boyd Holbrook is more than a pretty face. As someone who’s become a fan recently, his character range is pretty impressive. From a broken coal miner in Little Accidents to a violent coke addict in Run All Night, Holbrook will be in the latest Predator movie as Quinn McKenna. On top of this anticipated film, Holbrook has just been nabbed for director Juan Cabral’s Two/One.
Sweet Virginia was just one of two Jon Bernthal films to premiere at the Tribeca Film festival. Unlike Pilgrimage, Bernthal’s suspense thriller had not yet been picked up by a major film studio. Which, was terrible news considering those who went to the film festival gave the movie rave reviews. Who doesn’t want to see more Jon Bernthal on their screens?
Huzzah! It had been hard being an iZombie fan. Not only did we have to wait a year for the third season, but renewal for a fourth season took longer than some shows such as The Flash and The Arrow. But, today, CW announced that along with The Originals, iZombie would be returning for another season.
No Tomorrow was a CW show that took iZombie’s time slot for most of the year and was the reason we fans had to wait so long. Not to sound any kind of way, but No Tomorrow was canceled and the network executives seem to have come to their senses and renewed iZombie.
This means we’ll be getting more brain eating antics for at least another season. Make sure you tune into CW every Tuesday at 9pm to watch the current season!
The Walking Dead and The Punisher star Jon Bernthal is known for playing badass characters. From Shane Walsh, to Frank Castle and his roles in other films such as Fury and The Accountant, Bernthal usually is the guy with the less than reputable morals. Yesterday, the trailer for his latest project Pilgrimage dropped and Bernthal has gone Medieval.
