As filming for the third season of Netflix’s hit Daredevil continues, we fans are gifted with the confirmation that infamous assassin Bullseye has been added as the show’s new big bad. Wilson Bethel will be premiering as the comic book villain. Originally cast as an “FBI agent”, Bethel instead will officially be Bullseye and I’m not sure whether to be excited or scared.

While it’s great to gain more information for the third season of one of my favorite Marvel Netflix shows, I’ll tell you the one particular reason I’m fearing this announcement. In Daredevil Vol 2, #5 Bullseyes kills someone very near and dear to Daredevil/Matt Murdock. That person is…Karen Page. Yes. Deborah Ann Woll’s adaptation of Karen may be in danger with Bullseye being added to the story.
Deborah Ann Woll has not yet been confirmed for The Punisher season 2, which presumably will air after Daredevil season 3. Is this a very bad sign that confirms Karen’s death? I certainly hope not. While it will be heartbreaking for Matt Murdock, can we all take a moment to imagine how devasting it would be for Frank Castle? I really don’t want a storyline where The Punisher loses yet another person he cares about.
